Philosophy
Money Strategies believes first and foremost that the investor needs to accept and understand that “It’s Your Money—Manage It!” Regardless of
what organization, person, newsletter, service or system you choose to guide your investing, the responsibility falls squarely upon your
shoulders regarding management of your money.
No one cares more about your money and as a result it is essential that you are thoroughly engaged in the process. If someone else is
managing the money, then you must define clearly for them what it is that you want from your money and coordinate with them to make certain
it is on track. If you are doing it yourself, the only way to apply a system, newsletter or research appropriately is to use those that fit
your personal money psychology and objectives for your investments.
Clearly, money psychology is one of the least considered aspects of investing but it can have one of the greatest impacts on the investment
process. If you do not understand what works for you psychologically as an investor, then you open the door for emotions to creep into the
process and replace logic which rarely has a positive impact.
We believe that the understanding of one’s money psychology along with clearly defined objectives for your money is the first step in the
process of matching appropriately a strategy for managing your money. Without this, you do not know the desired outcome or how you will react
in difficult market times. This risks the bastardization of the process and jeopardizes the outcome.
This mission is to decide what you want, understand how you react to the investment process, choose a strategy that meets the aforementioned
issues and implement the strategy. Whether you do it yourself or hire someone, the foundation needs to be the same.
